In April 2006 the cultural capital of Gujarat witnessed birth of SAHITYA PRAVAH - an organization formed under the provisions of applicable Trust laws and a non - profit - making outfit with the sole objective of spreading knowledge amongst people through literary activities, writings, publications etc…
SAHITYA PRAVAH is a truly international organization with the sole objective to promote the cause of literature in general and Indian literature in particular which is diminishing very fast among the youth. Objective of this organization is to rekindle the light of national literature in everyone’s heart and see that the light keeps burning. As a part of its efforts, the Trust organizes different literary activities among school and college students such as essay writing, poetry writing, short story writing competition, extempore etc…and on the Annual Day winners are awarded prizes by the chief guests. The Trust also rewards Late Shree Luvjee Arjun Rathod Puraskar to the person who is a staunch Gandhi follower, a Literary Person, Social worker like L.A. Rathod, who himself was a freedom fighter, a strict Gandhian from Kutch who got formal education from Bhavnagar, Gujarat.
In future, the Trust plans to bring talent and brilliance in literature on a platform at various levels by organizing talks, competitions, workshops, presentations etc….The trust has decided to make special efforts to ensure that their reach is extended to smaller rural centers also and does not remain confined to cities alone.

Year : 2006 - 2008
|
|
SAHITYA PRAVAH had organized essay competition in different schools and colleges of Vadodara, Anand, Vidyanagar, Dharmaj, Jamnagar, Rajkot in Gujarat and received overwhelming response from all the centers. Competitions on similar lines were also simultaneously held in cities like Bhopal, Patna, Ranchi, Ranjnandgaon, Bokaro, Mumbai, Raigadh etc... and response from all these centers were thoroughly satisfying. Annual Function was held on 8th feb’2008 in Vadodara and Hon’able Sushma Swaraj jee was the chief guest on this occasion. Gandhi Follower Shree Vithal Bhai Ahaeya from Rajkot was awarded Shre Luvjee Arjun Rathod Puraskar by Resp. Sushma Swaraj Jee. Shri Vithalbhai had established Rastriya Shala ( a primary school) in Rajkot, Gujarat. Awardees of the competition were mainly from Vadodara and Rajnandgaon.

Year : 2009 - 2010
|
|
During this period, SAHITYA PRAVAH had organized poetry competition among students, topic given in all centers were same. This time some more cities were incorporated such as Calcutta, Durg, Ahmedabad. Raipur, Indore, etc… Dr. Laxmi Shankar Bajpayee, Director A.I.R. New Delhi, was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Apart from students, Shree Amrit Bhai Modi Secretary, Sabarmati Ashram was awarded Shree Luvjee Arjun Rathod Purasakar. Function was held in Vadodara on 18th December’2010. Principal awardees were from Calcutta, Bhilai and Vadodara.

Year : 2011 - 2014
|
|
Short Story Writing Competition was held in different parts of India and Gujarat including Jammu and Kashmir. It was held in March‘2014 in Vadodara. Winners from all over India were invited and were awarded prizes by chief guest Dr. Kesari Lal Verma Director, Commission For Scientific and Technical Terminology New Delhi. Late Shree Luvji Arjun Rathod Puraskar award was given To Dr. Pratap Ba Rathod a poet, writer, artiest, social worker from Rajkot, Gujarat. Awardees were from Ahmedabad, Shree Nagar, Vadodara and Rajnandgaon.

Year : 2014 - 2015
|
|
In the year 2014 - 2015 Sahitya Pravah had Organised Literacy Functions at Different parts of India. Mainly it was held at M.S.Uni. of Baroda, Vadodara, at Ranchi, at Rajanandgaon ( Chhattisgarh Ins. of Technology ), at Gauhati ( Kendriya Hindi Sansthan ), at Bangalore ( St. Joshep College ), at Mysor ( All I.I. of Speech and Hearing ), and at different places in Ahmedabad. A Debate Competition was Organised on the Eve of International Women's Day On 8th March at Vadodara only.

The Trust had Organised Debate Competition in the Science Faculty of M.S. University Baroda, Vadodara. in July'2014 and Oct'2014. Participants were from the Departments of Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Statistics, Geology etc..

During this period Sahitya Pravah had organised essay and debate competetions, where topic given was common. Apart from usual States / Cities such as Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat more new states were added such as Assam and Karnataka. The new cities included were Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Mysore and Bangalore. During the year, we went abroad and made our presence felt in North America by covering educational institutions in cities like Washington, Chicago, Oh-lo and Texas. To commemorate the International Women's Day a debate competition was organised on 8th March ' 2015 and Kavi Sammelan was held in June'2016.
In the Annual Function Dr. Ganga Prasad Vimal from Delhi, a Great Literateur was the Chief Guest and Dr. Kanhaiyalal Bhatt was given away Shree Luvje Arjum Rathod Puraskar. This function was held in Vadodara on 29th Dec' 2016. Awardees were form Cities like Ranchi, Mysore, Rajnand Gaon, Raipur, Rajkot, Vadodara, Ahemedabad etc.
